I am a geopolitical and military analyst and Chartered Civil Engineer, and I work in Track 1.5 diplomacy. I have briefed heads of state, foreign ministers, ambassadors, and UN agencies on international security, AI, the green transition, and infrastructure development. I work on nuclear-conventional deterrence and strategic stability among the United States, China, Europe, and Russia. My work has been presented at the United Nations in New York and Geneva, and at the House of Lords in Westminster. My work has appeared in Forbes, The Guardian, The Diplomat, the South China Morning Post, and the Yale Journal of International Affairs.
I teach International Security, International Relations, and the United Nations at SOAS University of London to cohorts that include serving diplomats, government and defense officials from the US, UK, South Korea, India, and Japan. SOAS was founded to train Britain's diplomats and overseas officials and ranks third in the world for academic reputation in Politics (QS World University Rankings 2026).
Earlier I advised on infrastructure portfolios totaling $85 million and worked on large-scale infrastructure developments including deep-water ports and oil refineries on three continents. I have startup experience in Europe, China, and Africa, having co-founded one of the first UK importers of Chinese electric vehicles.
I hold an MSc in International Relations (Research) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, an MA in Diplomacy from SOAS University of London, and I am a Civil Engineer from the University of Bath.
I speak Mandarin, intermediate Russian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
